Stuart is passionate about people development and his experience is wide ranging across all business and public sectors across the globe.
With a BA in Psychology from London University he started a sales career in the travel industry. After three successful years, he changed career direction, gaining a postgraduate qualification in Careers Guidance at Manchester University. He worked for six years as a manager of a Local Education Authority Careers Service serving school pupils and college students, after which he returned to the private sector to work with Boards and Executives as a consultant in communication skills. From there, Stuart joined the Hay Group as Director of Business Development, gaining a postgraduate qualification in Business Management.
In the last 25 years, Stuart has run his own L&D consultancy, developed a talent management software program used in major corporations and UK Government Departments, and lectures in leadership development on MBA programmes at two UK Universities. He has taught HR management across all CIPD programmes and levels in Europe and the Gulf. He is also a business growth accelerator coach to start-up businesses. In 2015, Stuart published his first book with his mentor, Dr Hal Oxley: ‘PRACTICAL Leadership. How to become an inspirational leader’. Stuart is a Chartered Fellow of the CIPD, the CIM, the ILM, and the CDI.
