Making employees redundant is hard for an employer and making a lawful redundancy selection is important, as the reasoning must be backed by evidence. Redundancy may arise when there has been or going to be a termination of business, change of location or closure of a site, a reduction or termination of work or a reorganisation of work resulting in some roles no longer being required.
