The CIPD Level 3 qualification is ideal if you’re entering HR/L&D, moving into a people role, or want to formalise early experience with a recognised credential.
You’ll learn the essentials of people practice—how organisations work, how to support the employment lifecycle, and how to apply evidence and analytics in day-to-day HR decisions.
Duration and study options: Bradfield offers flexible routes including online on-demand (self-study), live online classes (often scheduled in the evenings), and blended learning. Depending on the route, completion can be faster or more structured.

A CIPD Level 5 qualification is built for professionals who are already in HR/L&D (or taking on people responsibilities) and want to deepen capability, credibility, and career options.
You can choose one of two pathways:
• Associate Diploma in People Management (HR route)
• Associate Diploma in Organisational Learning and Development (L&D route)
Both routes are recognised at RQF Level 5 in England and Northern Ireland and can lead to CIPD Associate Membership on successful completion.
How long does it take? Duration is 10 months part-time, depending on your study mode and pace.

If you’re aiming for senior HR leadership—or already operating at that level—CIPD Level 7 is designed to build strategic judgement, influence, and research-led practice.
Bradfield offers CIPD Level 7 Advanced Diploma routes in Strategic People Management and Strategic Learning & Development. These programmes are geared towards experienced professionals who want to lead strategically and shape outcomes at organisational level.
Duration: often 18 months, with learning structured to work alongside a full-time role (including evening live online sessions).
Completion can lead to CIPD Associate Membership, and depending on your experience, you may be able to apply for Chartered membership.
