Entry requirements
You do not always need to complete CIPD Level 3 before Level 5. Relevant experience, previous qualifications and confidence with written academic work may make direct entry appropriate.
Discuss your current HR or people-management responsibilities, relevant experience and previous qualifications with Bradfield before enrolling.
Level 5 requires independent reading, research and written assignments. Consider your confidence with evidence, analysis and academic writing.
Confirm English-language requirements where applicable and the time you can commit each week to classes, reading, research and assignments.
Qualification structure
Organisations, evidence-based practice and professional behaviours.
Employment relationships, talent and workforce planning, and reward.
Ask Bradfield which optional unit is included in your cohort before enrolling.
Course syllabus
The curriculum develops your understanding of organisations while strengthening how you assess evidence, behave professionally and apply HR practice.
Examine how structures, strategy, external conditions and workplace culture affect performance, and how people practice supports organisational goals and change.
Think critically, interpret evidence and use data to address people-practice issues, measure HR’s contribution and communicate the value of decisions.
Explore ethical and inclusive practice, professional courage, positive working relationships and the effect of your behaviour on stakeholders and outcomes.
Understand employee voice, engagement and workplace conflict, including dispute resolution, performance, disciplinary and grievance matters.
Explore labour-market trends, workforce planning, attraction, development, retention, contractual arrangements, succession planning and onboarding.
Examine reward approaches and packages, use benchmarking to inform decisions and understand how people professionals can support line managers.
Your programme includes one optional unit. Ask Bradfield which unit is delivered in your cohort, because the full CIPD range may not be offered on every programme.
