Open Courses:

Performance Management

Date: 29th April 2018

Learning Aims: To develop an understanding of effective performance management to promote best practice and effective change.

Learning Outcomes

By the end of this workshop, participants will be able to:

1. Understand the link between organisational goals and individual objectives
2. Consider the impact of effective communication with colleagues in the workplace
3. Understand the differences between conduct and capability
4. Develop confidence in how to address performance one-to-one
5. Learn how to conduct a Performance Management Interview

Leadership and Motivation

Date: 3rd May 2018

Learning Aims: To give an overview of Leadership and Management concepts and practice.

Learning Outcomes

By the end of this workshop, participants will be able to:

1. Understand motivational theory
2. Identify common leadership styles and behaviors
3. Differentiate between Leadership and Management
4. Develop an understanding of how leaders and managers motivate staff

Coaching

Date: 1st May 2018

Learning Aims: To provide insight into the purpose and power of effective coaching and to explore the competencies required to facilitate effective coaching conversations to achieve positive change.

Learning Outcomes:

By the end of this workshop, participants will be able to:

1. Outline and describe key definitions of coaching and its role as a key leadership approach
2. Identify current coaching effectiveness and to explore key competencies required to make an effective coach
3. Explore how the concept of Fixed and Growth Mindset can impact coaching conversations
4. Practise elements of effective communication techniques to support coaching conversations
5. Explain the GROW model and how this can be used as a supportive coaching framework
